Attorney Alicia Jessop has loved sports for as long as she can remember.  Her friends and family would be quick to note that her passion for sports have largely molded Alicia’s life.  In July 2011, that trend continued when Alicia merged her passions for sports and law by launching RulingSports.com, a website dedicated to analyzing legal and business issues in the world of sports.

Licensed to practice law in California and Colorado, Alicia currently works as a professor at Pepperdine University, where she teaches Sport Law and Sport Marketing. She previously taught for four-years at the University of Miami. She consults for a number of sport and fashion brands.
Alicia received a B.S. in Economics in 2006 from the Colorado School of Mines and graduated cum laude from Chapman University School of Law in 2009, where she served as an editor of the Chapman Law Review and completed a certificate program in Entertainment Law.

Alicia is a proud board member of the Florida Sports Law Association’s South Florida chapter and an editor of the Journal for Legal Aspects of Sport. Alicia is interested in opportunities allowing her to continue telling sports business, sports law and sports philanthropy stories. She also is interested in teaching and using sports as a way to work with young people to assist in achieving their dreams.
